My Background
I am an abstract artist from Denmark, based in Berthierville, Quebec, Canada.
From an early age I was exposed to the Art world by visiting various art exhibitions with my late uncle, who was an avid Art collector.
Of course, what I didn't know at that time, was the influence this would have on me. Today though, it is very clear.

From an early age I was exposed to the Art world by visiting various art exhibitions with my late uncle, who was an avid Art collector.
Of course, what I didn't know at that time, was the influence this would have on me. Today though, it is very clear.
Through the years, I always had a need and a desire to create in one way or the other.
When I was younger, I attended different creative courses and drawing classes. Later on, I had some classic training at the Art Academy of Funen in Denmark, where I spend a few years.
From 1996 I was working in Design and fashion, while painting in between.
Until I finally decided it was time to embrace my old passion for Art In 2019, by committing fully into abstract painting.
Now, it finally feels like the circle is complete.

I primarily use mediums as Acrylic or Oil and Cold wax, but mix it up with other mediums as well.
I am especially attracted to expressive abstract painting, because it has the ability to transform, if you give it a chance and take your time to wonder and reflect. It leaves plenty of room for different levels of interpretations.

My approach is often intentional at first, with specific colors and a composition in mind. But as soon as I start, intuition takes over and the composition, bold colors, layers and textures often ends up in surprising ways.

My Inspiration
My inspiration is mainly drawn from my daily life. I find inspiration everywhere. For example, interactions, moods, moments, nature, climate change. All things, that affects me in one way or the other.
I interpret all these impressions and am conveying them in a visual and intuitive way to evoke imagination and tell a story. A story, that people hopefully can relate to.
